Remember a while back when I took a trip to the Dominican Republic to shoot some video for Compassion International? Those videos were edited by Tim Neeves into three short “films” shown at music festivals all Summer – festivals Compassion didn’t have a presenter for. Now, with the Summer festival season just about over, Compassion’s letting me share those with you guys. Here they are in their original unedited form. (UPDATE: THE SOUND PROBLEM IS NOW FIXED.)

I’ve got edited versions on the Compassion Bloggers Youtube page also – if you’d like to promote our trip back to the Dominican on November 2-7.

it seems like the audio is off a bit. i hate being told that kind of stuff but in the end, it’s always better to be…

I was just chatting with a friend about injustice to the poor, but when I saw your videos, I saw hope. Thanks.
Linda Sue says:
The videos show there is hope – loved the video about Gabriel – we have dear friends who are missionaries to the deaf in Honduras. It never feels like we can do “enough” but if we do what we can – if it hurts us to see such crippling poverty how it must hurt Him to give US so much and see how little we are willing to share. Releasing from poverty is NOT just a marketing slogan is it? (asked she rhetorically)
Shaun Groves says:
You’re right, Brad. And I have no idea why. I checked it after uploading a couple days ago and it was fine. Huh. When I get some time I’ll re-upload them and see if that fixes it.
Thanks for the heads up on that, Brad.

I found myself at Unity (up in Michigan) a few weekends ago and was pleasantly surprised and excited to see those videos showing! I was thinking to myself how incredible it was to see thousands of eyes and ears turned toward such a powerful message. A lot of people took packets that night from the folks passing them out. I hope it leads to follow through.
Keep going, Shaun. It is making a world of difference.
