Shaun Groves
Becky just called to tell me she and Gresham are headed to the hospital again. His fever still hasn’t broken and with all the drugs he’s had it should have. His doctors have called ahead so he can get an CT scan as soon as he arrives. We don’t think this is life-threatening but he may have to have a painful procedure done tonight if they see in the scan what we think they’ll see.
The girls are staying with Aunt Amy and Uncle Brian until Becky gets back home. (So good to have family in town.)
I’m in Athens, Texas playing a show (my parents drove out from Tyler to see me.) I’ll take an intermission halfway through tonight – I never do that – to call in and get an update on Gresham. We may have to decide tonight if we’ll stay in Texas or head back home to Tennessee.
Sorry so disjointed. I go on in a few minutes. Just wanted to let you know your prayers are appreciated.

Praying for the doctors to be smart and skillful, for Gresham to be a very brave boy and for you to have peace about what you decide to do travelwise.

I am tempted to say that I lift Gresham up to you here, but I know you already have him in your hands. Heal him God. I will just boldly ask for it.. that’s what we all want anyway. You say so, and he will be healed. I believe that God. I trust you for that. And while you’re at it, give some extra peace and reassurance to Shaun and Becky tonight too. Thanks God. Amen
Shaun, I know how this feels… our son went through 6 surgeries in the past year. It stinks to have your kid sick and not be able to take it away. Bryan (our son) is healed now… it just too longer than i had wanted. Anyway… I am praying for you all and will continue to do so. Blessings on you.

I hope your trip home has been safe and uneventful.
I am glad to hear that the doctor’s can put a name with the sickness. Maybe now they can get down to business with the medications.
