There’s no fancy lighting rig, no tour bus, no crew, no elaborate catering. Just me and an instrument on a stage for free. And children who need our help.
Since the beginning of 2007 I’ve been playing concerts at no cost to promoters in exchange for them letting me speak about Compassion International for seven to ten minutes during my full-length concert. This uniquely cheap tour is just past it’s halfway point now and if things continue to go as they have so far the people attending my shows will have saved over 600 children from poverty in Jesus’ name when all is said and sung. 600 children in just over three months!
I’ve never been more motivated to get out of bed than I am these days – knowing that I’m not just making music but giving my audience the opportunity to save the lives of children at the same time. And they’re taking it!
Because of the enormous success of this touring approach, and because Compassion International has asked me to, we’re doing it again…and taking bookings starting today. I’m waving my fee so that exposing people in your community to the child-saving work of Compassion International will cost you nothing but time and effort. So, contact my friend Brian Seay today to bring me to your city in MAY, JUNE, JULY or AUGUST of 2007.
And hurry.
The last time we did this we booked the entire tour – three months of shows! – in just two weeks.
If you are interested in saving money and saving lives but wondering what on earth you’d have to do to promote a concert of mine, here’s what we expect from promoters:
THAT’S ALL. It’s that simple. Let Brian know you’re interested and he’ll walk you through everything one step at a time.
Please, spread the word about this opportunity to save money and save lives. Post it on your blogs. Pass the word to your college chaplain or student activities director. Tell a minister at your church about it. Tell promoters in your city. Help us make this tour as great a success as the last, and save more kids from poverty.
Thank you in advance.

How far are you willing to travel?
Shaun Groves says:
Anywhere in the US. BUT, we’ve talked about doing a run of shows in Canada – it would HAVE to be a few shows in a row though to make sense for us.
The same is true, in a sense, is we go out west. It’s so expensive to get to the west coast from Nashville that it makes the most sense to do that if there are a few shows clustered together out there. So, if you’re in Canada or on the west coast and can not only promote a show but also help us find a few more in your neck of the woods, the odds will be greater that we’ll visit you on this next tour. And we’d love to. We don’t head either direction often enough.
Thanks for asking, Melissa.

Got the CD yesterday. I love it. “The caucasian fade” LOL too true.
Todd says:
For those that are interested, this is a great opportunity. Shaun was a blessing for our event.
Shaun Groves says:
Brian just informed me that he has received about 20 requests already this morning. Thank you for spreading the word and helping us save kids!
Shaun Groves says:
I left something out. Brian says promoters also need to provide 1 non-smoking hotel room (nothing fancy, Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express are our favorites). Forgot to mention that expense to promoters.
Hey, I’m just the musician guy; I don’t know anything.
Grovesfan says:
If you were in a city on this current tour, any chance of getting you back again so soon? What if it’s for a “Compassion Sunday” event (morning worship time)? I understand if you can’t but thought I’d try.
Beth
Shaun Groves says:
That’d be up to Brian but I’d suspect we wouldn’t return to a city so soon. But it doesn’t hurt to ask.
Keith Mohr says:
this is awesome Shaun!
Way to go!

I’ll reference my email… but what a great way to get our churches thinking about missions and making a HUGE ripple for Jesus by risking a small investment in a great event!!!
Blessings – Of course if you did come to Nebraska we would also demand that BRANT foot his own expenses to join you… “Accordian on the Prarie!”
