This weekend Brody and I drove from from Nashvile to Indiana, played two shows there, drove to Michigan, played a show there, flew to Nashville, then drove to Alabama.
Once here I got to be interviewed for a new show called the Scup (there’s supposed to be one of those German two dot thingies over the “u” – an umlaut I think it’s called – so the word is pronounced “Scoop.”) Check out their site. Very cool production, and all created by college students in Huntsville, Alabama.
It’ll take some real talent to make me look as good as they made the other guys on their site look. We don’t smell pleasant or look our best right now. The one thing in the producer’s favor is that my haircut actually looks progressively better with every skipped shower. I’m up to two..skipped ones.
Ew.
Seriously, the folks at the Scup were a great hang and tonight looks to be just as good. I’m busting out “Flea Market Montgomery” since this is Sammy’s state. We’ll see how many of these people are up on their Alabama icons.

you’re in my hometown tonight!
I’ll see ya in a second.
In the meantime, sorry to associate you with BurnLounge over on my blog (http://www.fatkidrecords.com). I was definitely under the impression that you were into it.
Do you want me to edit your name out of the blog?

I checked with the promoter at your Fairfax Station, VA show and he assures me that a working shower will be included with the room he’s reserved for you and Brody while you’re here. Soap and towels too.
Hallelujah!
Grovesfan says:
Nancy,
Make sure you get an extra big tip for the soap and towels!

I guess as long as no one gets too close to you, they will just see how good your hair looks.
BTW…in case you care, you can get the ü in Scüp by pressing Option-U.
Shaun Groves says:
Good to know.
Apparently these Sc¨p guys didn’t know about Flea Market Montgomery. Now they do.
We’re heading to the Flea Market to shoot some “concert” footage for their show in the next couple weeks. It shall be youtubed.

You were in my hometown last night! I’m homesick thinking about it.
I hope you had a nice time in Decatur. My friend’s Dad used to be pastor of First Bible Church.
Tell Sammy “hi” for me! He’s so cool.
