Looking forward to following along with the bloggers this trip! I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Peru (Trujillo and Huaraz) 2004-2006 working with Youth Development with the YMCA and various orphanages. Can’t wait to see where y’all go and what you do! May God bless this trip greatly!
I sponsor 2 girls from Peru- 1 that lives in the jungle near Bagua and 1 that lives in Lima named Maria (PE150)!!! She’s seriously one of the funniest, smartest, and coolest kids I’ve ever met(and I’ve met and travelled the world a lot!). I hope you’ll visit her project since it’s in the heart of Lima– I saw some of the worst poverty I’ve ever seen in her area. If you see her be sure to give her a hug… she’d definitely have a lot of photos and letters to show you!
Oh, I’m so ridiculously excited that you’re going to Peru! That’s what I was hoping it was! ๐
We sponsor a sweet 7 year-old little girl named Ana from there, and I so can’t wait to see more of what God has in store for this fall.
It probably sounds a bit silly, but my heart is burning with excitement for this trip more than ever. Ahhh! I think He’s going to do awesome things! ๐ He is so good! Praying for November!
Hooray! We sponsor a precious, godly young lady who is an LDP student in Peru! Her mom is a project director, I believe. Oh! I hope you get to meet them! ๐
Peru is an awesome place! I actually got to go to the Inca ruins in high school…a side benefit to being raised in South America. It was INCREDIBLE!
You know you can email me if Compassion decides they need an interpreter to go on the trip. I am not a blogger, but I do make a mean pan of brownies! ๐
