I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. ~G.K. Chesterton
Jenn says:
Aaaaah! So precious. I love how simple and genuine the prayers of children are. My 3-year old asks God to give a hug and a kiss to everyone she prays for.
JD says:
That just gives my heart a big ol’ hug… thank you for sharing the beauty of his prayers!
Shaun Groves says:
That was incredibly southern. And I liked it.
Big ol’ hug back atcha.
Kelli says:
Precious…brought tears to my eyes.
FzxGkJssFrk says:
That’s adorable.
We started limiting our kids to a few choices of things to be thankful for at bedtime because they were using it to drag out the bedtime routine… Maybe we should rethink that.
Shaun Groves says:
This kid prayed for almost five minutes last night. Yes, I timed him. And now we’ll build in a little extra time at night ; )
Dave says:
As a guy, I am required to announce that this did NOT make me cry!
On the other hand, my allergies seem to be acting up a bit this morning…
Shaun Groves says:
Thank you for taking the time to clarify, Dave.
Brad says:
Amen and amen.
Angie says:
Precious.
I bet that makes Jesus teary too.
Katie says:
Faith like a child
Liz Reeves says:
Beautiful!
Shanah says:
Absolutely precious.
Melody Joy King says:
Love, love, love how he pronounced Penelope’s name. I guess that would be a tough one for a little guy to get his mouth around. :0P So cute! Love that he seems to enjoy svimming so very much too. My husband and I both have a huge desire to adopt in the not-so-distant future. It’s been a blessing and an encouragement to read about and be able to share a teenie bit in you and your family’s experiences with little “S.’ I so look forward to the day we can learn his whole name. But for now, I have no doubt that God will know exactly who I mean when I pray for “S” this day. :0)
Lindsay says:
I’d say that if S was forced to live with only that for which he gave “tanks” to God, he’d be living pretty much the same as he lives now. ๐ What a treasure!
Patrick McDonald says:
How cool is that!! What a heart of thankfulness. We could learn a lot. I think the heart of the Father just melts when His kids are so blessed in the little things like “svimming” and “finguhs and toes”. I want a grateful heart like that!
Kara @ The Chuppies says:
I love this ๐
Love it.
