Worse & Better Before It Ends
As a child I sat spellbound on Sunday mornings watching our preacher pound his fist, wipe his brow and predict the end of the world. Again and again.
In the lobby hung a painting of Dallas. Cars plunged from the mixmaster. Planes crashed into buildings. Jesus stood on the clouds above the metroplex beckoning a legion…

Penelope’s Mom Is Awesome
Penelope’s mom is awesome. Penelope’s Mom let her cut the hair of a disembodied Barbie head.
She let her give Barbie a shoulder length trim first.
Then she gave her what I believe my hair-cutting sister-in-law called a graduated bob.
