This reminds me very much of the descriptions of cooking/kitchens in two of my favorite novels, both set in late 1800’s India. Looks like some things haven’t changed a whole lot. Makes me think twice about griping over my ‘lack of counter space’ in my house.
I was hoping this series would return.
