The folks at First Baptist Church Jacksonville in Florida were kind of enough to give us a DVD of our concert there Sunday night. I’ll be uploading a lot of the show to the interwebs in the days ahead thanks to them. Here’s the first of many.
Gloria! Christmas Tour 2008 (Better Days) from Shaun Groves on Vimeo.
Let’s see, what else can I bore you with? Oh, Becky and I are sending Christmas cards and cleaning the house today. I’ve got family heading my way soon and all through the house, no one’s cleaned in weeks, not even my type A spouse. No more rhyming I mean it…
So, I’m scrubbing and dusting while Becky blares her usual cleaning playlist: lots of “butt rock” from the eighties and the occasional Top 40 hit from this decade. Boston. Winger. Scorpions. Justin Timberlake. Stryper. Journey. Christina Agiulera. More Boston. And more Boston. Oh, look, more Boston!
This must be love.

The ice here in Arkansas has us home bound. My hubby thankfully went to the store to get us some bread and milk. And graham crackers to make some gingerbread houses. I’ll do the cleaning when the go back to school. Hopefully that will be tomorrow!
Great video! I’ve seen several of your clips now and I have to wonder, who IS that guy in the picture at the top of your blog? Must be “Mr. Hollywood”. I like “Tennessee Shaun” better!
P.S. I pasted a Compassion link on my website. Now all I need are visitors!!
Shaun, it’s more than a feelin’ – and you know it!
“anybody want a peanut?”
4 comments! It took only 4 comments for my readers to finish the quote from Princess Bride! I’m so proud right now. Thanks, dub.
Dang it! As I scrolled down I was sure that I was going to be the first to finish the line. I gotta start reading blogs earlier in the day. Hmph.
Tell Becky she can have both Boston & Stryper together. Enjoy. -G

I thought you had to wear a suit on this fancy Christmas tour.
Oh, this is a fancy Christmas tour, keith. There’s a wardrobe change at halftime.
I LOVE this song….
You sing it ALMOST as well as my awesome husband!
Thanks for your heart Shaun…it shines through even your funny posts.
As for Butt Rock….I could not agree more. I hate 80’s Rock…
I freakin love that song!
And I never noticed how much you sounded like the Goo Goo Dolls frontman until now.
We have discovered that the best way to get squirrels out of the attic is to play “Boston” at full blast.
I never realized how appropriate that song is for believers; especially at Christmas.
Sweet action. Take the world (and Boston) by storm!
Thanks a lot for sharing.
