This is strange. My request includes the word eggs, but I was expecting receipt of other information.
But okay, we will read it.

Loved this post, Shaun. That’s been a biggie for me even joining Facebook - reconnecting with people in my past. I actually found my best friend from first grade on there - and she remembered me! So cool. I am glad you found Jesse.

What a great tribute post to a friend. I am inspired… why do we usually wait until friends are gone to reflect on them?

And how affirming that the things that God plants in our hearts as kids truly reflect how we are wired. Which, as a mom of two boys (7 and 5) concerns me for their future ("No, you can’t put the kitten in a pillow case. He doesn’t like that")

Thanks for the post, new triiibe friend.

I thought it would be really neat to find all my old friends, but dang if they all led really depressing lives by the time I caught up with them.

I’m glad your friend Jesse is, by all appearances, doing well. I *totally* think he needs to let you die.

I mean, in a cinematic sense.

Obviously.

About 4 months ago I was contacted on facebook by a friend I had in 5th grade. The only thing I can really remember about him is that he wrote a “Star Trek” skit for the talent show. We all had to be in it. We each had our little pin-on communicators and our homemade phasers. He actually had a ST uniform.

Anyway, as nerdy as he was, he is now a police officer in our hometown. I think that’s pretty neat.

What a great post! I joined FB a few months ago and have really enjoyed finding fiends like that and discovering that the friend who couldn’t keep their 10th grade health class egg safe past the first three hours now has four kids, or that the kid who was so certain he would go into the ministry actually DID get ordained and started a church in his home. Reconnecting like that with people who were once so central in my life has been a really fun thing in the last few months.

Such a fun post to read!

I love memories like these and the lives that the characters are leading today. I watched my brother and his best friend build forts galore and dig tunnels to who knows where every afternoon when we were kids. Now I wonder if they muttered one liners and secretly plotted and underground attack on the natives. Probably.

Oh, Lord, give me girls.

Shows how your heart has matured because you are able to truly rejoice in Jessie’s good fortune and yet still so Shaun in the attempt to manipulate your friend by reminding him of a TINY little bullet wound incident. Good posting man - and golly a Delorean would be fun to drive wouldn’t it?
