I stumbled upon a pretty cool website last night: Sonific.  Sonific allows you to search for tunes, create a playlist from them and then turn your playlist into a “widget” music player that can be easily embedded on virtually any website, including Myspace, Facebook and Wordpress pages.  The downer for artists is that there’s no way to link from the widget to an artist’s own store.  All purchases go through Amazon.com.  Bummer.
