Is there anything worse, when you’re a kid, than being sick without your mom? Maybe. Being sick with your dad.
I can’t seem to do anything the way mom does it today.
Hurry back, Becky. I…I mean, Gresham needs you.

Why is it the kids manage to get sick EVERY time Becky leaves YOU in charge? There’s got to be a link somewhere!

The only thing you have to do is give lots of hugs and kisses!
Nice little story for you.
When I was about 8 my mother was taking classes at night to finish her degree. My father was forced during those times to be, well, my father.
One evening as mom picked me up from school I told her my stomach hurt. She told me to lay down and I didn’t have to eat dinner if I didn’t feel good, then she was off to class.
My father decided I was going to eat dinner whether I wanted to or not and made me eat Chef Boyardi(?) raviolli. Well about three quarters the way through my bowl, I filled it back up with precision vomitting.
My father never forced me to eat another meal and to this day will not eat raviolli’s and I take great pride in eating them in front of him and making vomitting sounds as I do so. He turns green, it’s awesome, I feel vendicated.
Noted: No dinner is OK. Gotcha.
