Yeah, I definitely know what you mean . . . kind of a “mere exposure effect” thing in that the more familiar we are with something (in this case, the more time we’ve had to think about it/read it/ponder it), the more likely we are to like it.

But, really, what I meant was that I liked the original version that you wrote to your daughter more than the somewhat more generic version that will, undoubtedly, do better in a mass-market-type scenario. The original was so heart-felt and personal, which really MADE it for me, ya know? =)
