oh, man, that’s a fad right now. it’s called “popped” collar. my brother does it and i said, “why do you have that flipped collar thing?” and he only laughed and said, it’s a “popped” collar, duh! yep, and i’m from michigan so it’s definitely here in both the high schools and colleges.
Yep…the college GIRLS are into it here in Indiana/Illinois.

ok, i’ll be honest. i pop my collar. i blame my preppy parents and the fact that i went to an all-girls school in the south. but honestly, now it feels wierd to wear it any other way!
ye i used to do that but guys take a look around at all the other guys doing it and YEA its 1984 and you need to “pop” the collar back down again!!

I loved the eighties. Popped collars went so well with my Farrah Flip, Gitano jeans, Love’s Baby Soft and puka beads.
I still feel so much taller with a popped collar but my 12-years-younger fashion police coworkers won’t let me walk around the office with my collar up.
They keep pointing at me and whining ”Mom, you’re embarrassing us!”
